Software - OnTarget Alignment

The OnTarget alignment software is now available for both Windows and Windows Mobile (Pocket PC) platforms. Easy to use and loaded with features, OnTarget can be used with all the common alignment methods. Alignment can be calculated for two or three machine trains. You can enter thermal growth for each machine or calculate it from temperature, height and material and OnTarget will compensate. When a bolt bound or base bound condition exits, OnTarget offers unlimited alternative corrections to help you find the optimal solution. When alignment tolerances are entered, an indicator will tell you when each coupling is within tolerance.

The prealignment checklist is a reminder of what to check for before starting to align the machine. These are color coded indicating which items will affect the alignment itself and which are just indications of machine’s general health.

On Target offers the following options:

Distance units: Inches, mils or millimeters

Temperature units: F or C

Alignment methods:
Reverse Indicator
Cross Dial
Rim and Face - with or without a control dial (to compensate for end float)
Coupling to spool (angular) - with or without control dials
Offset and Angle*
Entered Calculated Moves*

* these can be measured with alignment systems, such as basic laser systems and used with OnTarget to provide thermal growth compensation, alternate moves and tolerances
